wow thats a good point. I know what ya mean. I don't like my body, but I bet if culture wasn't so hard on us, I probably would. There is nothing wrong with being naked, as it is a way of expression.

Not in this country, even at the height of summer I think being naked would probably cause you some difficulty, the weather and all that. Additionally, there are already enough sweatmongers on London transport and I would rather they kept their clothes on whilst on the buses and trains to be honest.

Absolutely the Scots are soo prudish and worried about showing the human body in its purest form so I say STRIP OFF and enjoy the breeze but not in Braemar where your likely to die!.Grin.

Allie you are right as the sweat clings to clothing and then dries you freeze! Also there is the hassle of having a hot shower to warm up, then finding dry clean clothes so far I have held my 4 naked month son, to my bare chest and the combination of our skin on skin is a very tender and special moment...

I meant my 4month old son and he's not naked all the time as its winter and I don't want to be arrested for child abuse or paedophliia.

I'm all for being naked, but it's the natural body odder I'm not to keen on. I have known some pretty ronchy people. All they needed was a little deodderan.

I agree, it's society and the way we are raised. There are still tribes of people that live in none urban places; most in what we would call third world nations, that wear little to no clothes.
As for body odor, clothes or no clothes as long as you take a bath regularly and use deodorant it shouldn't be a problem.

I went skinny dipping with my friend in her pool last summer. It was at night and no one else was around, she also has a wood fence so no one else could see us. I don't think I would get naked infront of a lot of people though. Not like an exabitionist or nude dancer.

Being naked feels good and I have skinny dipped too and it felt really good.

Actually natural B.O. is sort of on-turning, in fact that's how animals (which we are too) find the opposite sex by there "b.o." as I understand it, now call me a gross wacko, but I sort of like it when someone has some kind of smell, it's more interesting for me anyway. Of course I'll have to think about that...

I just now realized how potentially incriminating that message can be... James

Allie I think its typical of the childish and rather sick attitude some people have towards friendships with the opposite sex..they assume there has to be something going on because they know no better and lack the maturity to handle the situation...And as for body odour its awful I'm all for nudity but I'd definately outlaw B.O!.

There wass a time where no one used soap to baith. Kings and queens, princes and princesses, the entire royal cort. The closest thing to deorderant was smellig salts and incense. For that reason and that reason the kings and queens made some invent soap in cake form. Trust me people we need soap!

Ah ah! I have to disagree The Vikings Danes Norwegians and Icelanders were forever washing unlike the other races who couldnt be arsed and that includes the Scots.

In principle I agree with Allie. It annoys me to no end how much what people look like effects what others think of them. Of course, I'm biased because I can't remember sight or anything like that at all, so it seems pretty trivial to me. Nonetheless, clothes do have a practical perpose. For instance, it's snowing a ton out there right now. I sure wouldn't want to go out without this nice warm set of clothes. I don't think clothes should be given so much attention though. Frankly I don't care what mine look like as long as they're comfortable. The only times you'll see me dressed up for something is when I absolutely have to. Ug. lol I think I've rambled quite enough here, and hope it made sense.

Allie,
people assume that nudity means sex or perhaps attention for sex. That's probably why having no clothe is viewed as being wrong in this country.

Well as for nudity, I love it! it is after all a natural state, we enter the world naked, so it all stands to reason!
